HOUGA is a Japanese contemporary women's brand founded in 2019 by designer Moe Ishida, a graduate of Esmod Japan Tokyo with a background in aesthetics and art history at Keio University. Before launching HOUGA, Ishida worked at BIG planning the FRAPBOIS line — one of Japan's most respected creative fashion labels — giving the brand a foundation rooted in serious design craft.
The brand's name and philosophy center on the idea of unveiling what is hidden — "sprout your veiled gift" is their core statement, positioning each collection as an invitation for the wearer to discover and express something latent within themselves.
